  Horrible service and they have a hidden 5 year contract. We moved houses and they slammed us with an $800 cancellation fee. I have no idea how this company is still in business, every other review complains about the same thing. I am in contact with bbb and consumer affairs. This company is a scam and I hope they realize what they are doing....

  We just had a service call from American Alarm's Jorge Villalobos. He was right on time, was very efficient, was friendly and happy to answer questions, and did an excellent job. We need more specialists like Jorge. The company is fortunate to have him as an employee.

  Horrible company and service.. just got the collection agency after us for bogus service and transparency. I will write to the BBU.

  I would give American Alarms zero stars if I could. What a horrible company, and alarm system. This company told me over the phone that I would have no contract, so after a year of having my alarm go off a couple dozen times while I am at work and have to leave to take care of the situation I decided I wanted to switch companies. When I called to figure out the cancelation procedure, the woman on the phone was telling me what I had to do, and then out of the blue stated that I had signed a five year contact. I am renting my apartment and would never have agreed to signing a contact like that. And after reading some other reviews on the company, I saw that someone else had the same problem, where she was later on told that she had a six year contact with them. So they tell you you have no contact and then later on when you want to cancel because the service is horrendous they tell you that you can not cancel because you signed a contact. A very horrible company, do not sign on with them. Avoid it at all costs.

  I tried to get an answer from this company regarding a system in my house that they installed and I was a customer for many years. Not only would he not answer in regards to simply helping me stop the constant beeping - he was incredibly rude and dismissive. Customer service goes a long way these days and they simply didn't have it. I spoke to John and he said there was NO ONE above him - sad that is the head of a company.
